An IT academy with the financial support of the European Union and Team Europe has been opened in Cahul

On 24 May 2022, the official opening of the first social enterprise funded by the European Union and co-funded by Sweden in the project “Local civil society contributes to the inclusive and sustainable development of the country” implemented by the East Europe Foundation took place.

Vibe Academy is a social enterprise that comes to offer IT and Robotics courses for children aged 5-17.

Vibe Academy aims to contribute to the development of IT skills of children and young people in Cahul district, through courses and training that prepare a working generation for current and future professions.

The academy is located on 34/29 Ștefan cel Mare Street and in addition to paid services, it will provide free education for 100 children and young people from socially vulnerable families in Cahul district.
The Vibe Academy branch in Cahul is open within the project “Development of IT skills of children and young people in Cahul district – Vibe.MD – IT Academy in Cahul”.

The Eastern European Foundation has provided grants to 10 non-governmental organisations that will develop social enterprises, which in turn will create 60 jobs for disadvantaged people, and more than 600 people will receive free services.

This project is funded by the European Union and co-funded by Sweden through the East Europe Foundation in partnership with the European Business Association and the Contact Centre under the project “Local civil society contributes to the inclusive and sustainable development of the country”.
