CAREER GUIDANCE AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION PROGRAMME FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS IN 25 SCHOOLS WITH THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF EUROPEAN UNION

Students and teachers from 25 schools in the Republic of Moldova (Soroca, Calarasi, Nisporeni, Straseni and Causeni districts), partners in the Joboteca project – a pilot programme for preparing young people in Moldova for the labor market, already have three training programmes on career guidance and entrepreneurship education. Terre des hommes Moldova, the organisation implementing Joboteca Project, has developed training and guidance programmes for teachers, school psychologists and deputy principals for education in carrying out activities with students to train them in developing entrepreneurial skills.

The course „Entrepreneurial education for young people” aims to develop students’ skills such as: entrepreneurial skills and the spirit of initiative; communication, learning, social and civic skills; basic skills in mathematics, science and technology; digital skills and other skills needed for young people for a successful career path.

„Career Guidance and Career Education” programme aims to support young people in career guidance by providing them with a set of tools to analyze their situation and to draw a personal development plan that includes the necessary skills both on local and on international labor market. The skills covered in this course are communication, cooperation, flexibility, critical, creative and strategic thinking, planning.

The third programme – „Digital Skills” – aims to develop young people’s digital skills and competencies as well as to provide them with a range of independent learning tools for personal and professional development during the transition from school to employee / entrepreneur status. This course will develop skills for teenagers from the 25 schools such as information and data literacy, communication and collaboration through information technology, digital content creation.

In March, Terre des hommes started training with teachers based on these courses. Afterwards these teachers will select 20 young people from each school to participate in the programme and will start the activities in the Joboteca spaces.

„Joboteca – pilot programme for preparing young people in Moldova for the labor market” project is funded by the European Union and is implemented between 2021 and 2024 by the Terre des hommes Foundation – Romania and Moldova office – in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
