The main purpose of the project is to support a more favourable environment for local independent media outlets to strengthen their capacities, independence, self-sustainability and professionalism to be able to produce high quality, fact-based, balanced and reliable local journalistic content.
The project activities will take place in the form of trainings, study visits and tailored mentoring and expert consultations. An integral part of the project will be the provision of direct financial support, in the form of small grants scheme, for all the participating local media outlets.

- Strengthened capacity and sustainability of local media outlets;
- Create a more favourable environment for local independent media outlets to enhance their capacity, independence, and professionalism;
- Facilitate the production of high-quality, fact-based, and balanced journalistic content that is reliable and trustworthy.

- The access of citizens to high quality, balance and reliable local journalistic content is improved;
- The technical and financial capacities of local media outlets are strengthened and the level of their business development skills is increased;
- The capacities of local media outlets in the sector of content production are strengthened;
- The sources of revenue for local media outlets are diversified, i.e. by the provision of direct financial support (grant component).
